Bluebonnet Data organizes a volunteer fellowship program embedding diverse technologists on progressive campaigns, and serves as a stepping stone for people entering political data, particularly individuals with technical backgrounds. Fellows commit 5-7 hours weekly for 14 weeks, receiving 30+ hours of training and mentorship. Working in teams of 6, they provide remote support directly on progressive campaigns and organizations in areas like data science, software development, and digital campaign operations. Over 250 past fellows now work in progressive or social benefit careers.

COOP is building a diverse movement of upwardly mobile college grads overcoming underemployment through digital skills and peer connections. We want to reignite our nation’s promise for those who strive to achieve a brighter future for themselves and their families—to ensure the American Dream is a reality for all. 

Our tuition-free program matches peer cohorts of underemployed first-gen, low income college grads with alumni coaches who support them in building the professional skills and networks they need for the careers they deserve. Within 12 months of program completion, four-in-five alumni are fully employed, earning an average of $50,000 per year.
