In 2026, DigiDems is hiring over 30 digital strategists to support the most competitive Congressional races that will determine control of the House. The Digital Communications Pod Director—a front-line role in the fight to win back Congress in 2026—is responsible for hiring, placing, training, and strategically supporting a pod of Campaign DigiDems (CDDs), digital communications professionals embedded on an assigned set of these key federal campaigns. We’re looking for collaborative, innovative, and passionate digital strategists to ensure our partner campaigns are equipped with the cutting-edge communications tactics, talent, and technology required to communicate consistently and authentically online.
POSITION SUMMARY
As a Pod Director, your role is to guide a cohort of Campaign DigiDems (CDDs) and provide the strategic thought partnership they need to deliver results on the ground. This position is about developing the next generation of campaign leadership while providing the immediate, targeted strategic support our candidates need to win.
(1) Campaign & Partner Support

Act as the primary contact for assigned political campaigns, understanding their needs and ensuring they receive effective support from our team members.
▸
Collaborate with key Democratic committees (DNC, DCCC, DSCC) to align on the strategy, training, and guidance our program provides.
(2) Staff Mentorship, Training, & Career Development
▸
Provide ongoing coaching and support to our digital communications cohort members (“Campaign DigiDems”) after they are placed on their campaigns.
▸
Help team members navigate their new roles, produce high-impact work, and plan the next steps for a successful career in Democratic politics.
(3) Recruitment & Hiring
▸
Assist in recruiting and hiring new talent for the program, with a focus on identifying high-potential individuals, even if they are new to political campaigns.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is an
expert on executing digital communications strategy on federal campaigns, is
passionate about coaching and developing high-potential talent, and eager to diversify the Democratic campaign ecosystem – all while helping key races that will determine control of Congress.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
As Pod Director, you will be focused on these key deliverables:
Train and lead digital strategists on our country’s most competitive races.

Guide a team of Campaign DigiDems (CDDs) to provide strategic advice for key campaigns.
▸
Partner with campaigns and committees to embed CDDs onto their teams for maximum impact.
Recruit and mentor early-career digital talent.
▸
Drive our selective recruitment process to identify and hire high-potential future leaders, with an emphasis on diversifying the campaign space.
▸
Oversee all team training and professional development, from onboarding to Election Day.
Implement cutting-edge digital strategies and best practices.
▸
Pursue advanced digital tactics to give campaigns a decisive online edge.
▸
Create and run advanced training programs on critical skills, including AI tools and digital strategy.
▸
Support auxiliary DigiDems support programming, including our experimental online branding initiative providing hands-on support to additional Congressional campaigns
Build lasting infrastructure and talent within the Democratic party.

Guide the cohort’s career development to retain talent within Democratic politics.
▸
Support efforts to retain top talent to help Democrats win, not just in 2026 but for years to come.
